AUTHOR · EXPLORER OF POSSIBLE WORLDS
Hello.
I’m Arin.
I’m interested in what happens to ordinary people when the rules of their world change.
That curiosity takes me toward speculative fiction—and toward questions about identity, memory, mortality, belief, and the societies we build around them.
This website is where those interests meet. You’ll find ideas to consider, worlds to imagine, and notes from a novel still in development.
I’m writing a novel about a world where biological immortality is a choice because the promise of forever makes an ordinary human question harder: what does a life mean when its ending stops being certain?
Questions, thoughtful responses, and reading recommendations are welcome at hello@arinvalewrites.com.

About Beyond the Known.
Beyond the Known is the publication and newsletter hosted here. It is not a general news feed. The thread connecting its subjects is a curiosity about what makes us human, and what might change us.
Not every piece claims an answer. Some are explainers with sources. Some are arguments you may disagree with. Others begin with an invented possibility and follow its consequences.
